Leadership Team

Something about serving God, the church, and our community just makes us smile :)

  • Kelly Isbell:

    Pastor &

    Men's Bible Study Director

I remember being on the streets living in New Orleans, LA as a teenager. It was a time of drugs, theft and immorality, but thanks be to God that He sought me out and saved my life: He showed up! I’ve been a born-again believer in Christ since 1982 and God has never let me down. Being married to Esther since 1981, having 5 children and 18 grand-children you can imagine that there’s been many battles and hardships in our lives. But there’s also been many miracles and an abundance of blessings. God assures us that He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5) and He never has!

It’s been a joy to serve Jesus Christ and His people at New Beginnings Church since 2006. I remember the first service on September 24th. My wife and I didn’t know what to expect: Would it just be her and I, the worship team and a few family members? Would anyone give their life to Christ? Would the Spirit of God show up? Well God did what He promised He would do: He showed up and has been ever since.

With a heart of evangelism and discipleship, it’s my prayer that those who attend New Beginnings Church would work out their own salvation (Philippians 2:12) with God through His Son Jesus Christ and grow in His Truth, the Bible.

    Hope to see you soon

    Pastor Kelly Isbell Sr.

  • Esther Isbell:

    Children's Ministries Director

    Youth Director &

    Women's Bible Study Leader

Hi I am Esther Isbell. I was born and raised in a non-Christian home in Bay City, MI most of my young life until around the age of fifteen. At that time I moved to Louisiana where I met and fell in love with the love of my life of 35 years, Kelly (aka: Pastor of NBC) Together we have four adult children, and I am one proud ‘Nana’ of eighteen grandchildren. Kelly and I enjoy doing Life and Ministry together, well ok, most of the time lol. Trying to live my life trusting the Holy Spirit, marked by a faith beyond me, intentional, pleasing and bent on what God would have me to do because I love and desire HIM more than anything. Trying to live out Gal. 2:20 “….no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” I desire to live a transformed life, pleasing and obedient to God.

I enjoy COFFEE, reading, gardening, and lately have found I really like to decorate cakes. Traveling is Awesome! Why? Because I LOVE to see, smell, touch and experience new random things and meeting people. I enjoy music, and collect random instruments with the hope to learn them before I go to see Jesus one day. I also have a desire to open a coffee/eatery type place one day, will I? I don’t know but, until I figure it out, I will continue to seek God and dream of the possibility of it becoming a reality one day. I hear I’m a little crazy but, yeah that’s ok too, because I think sometimes you gotta be a little bit crazy to spend …I hope, the rest of my life doing the heart beat ministry the good Lord has entrusted to me. Which includes building REALationships, equipping and encouraging young people for the higher calling.  Which I know, is Only through the ‘LIFE-CHANGE’ that occurred in and through me at the age of 28 when I met Jesus as my Lord and Savior. That is when I began to cling to my life verse Phil. 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.”  Because I know “it’s only because of Christ, go I” My heart beats hard for our young people, knowing they are the future and can do ENDLESS GREAT things when they have a REAl relationship with Christ, equipped, believed in and challenged higher as they are walking out an obedient life, learning to trust the Holy Spirit’s Power working thru them to impact those in their circles, and beyond. I also happen to believe because God’s retirement plan is “outta of this world”, I feel that I might just become one of the oldest youth workers out there one day.  I’m pretty sure of it. Ha-ha, Positionaly it might change, but the heartbeat will beat until I’m six feet under. So, Whatever, however that looks like to God, I’m ALL IN, till then! So there it is, a little about me.

  • Sarah Kue:

    Worship Team Leader &

    Missions Director

How did you get involved in your ministry?

I was currently serving at my home church when we heard there was a need for a worship team for a new church plant across town. Our team had actually been praying for God to us us in new places so we did not hesitate to agree to serve. The understanding was that we were just playing the first Sunday they opeed up, however, after our first time playing there the pastor asked if we'd be willing to play for the month until they found musicans. We agreed. Well, a month turned to a year and a year turned to years. We have called NBC home for almost 10 years now. I believe New Beginnings Church was an answered prayer and it still gives me great joy and honor to get to lead people into worship each week.

What does NBC mean to you?

I have worked along side, worshipped, and served many people through the doors of New Beginnings Church and I can confidently say that NBC is a place of forgiveness, restoration, and help. NBC exists to serve our community in every way and to demonstrate the sacrificial love of our God to all.

What would you tell someone who is thinking about attending NBC?

If you are seeking a church that truly worships God, preaches only the word of God, and cares for people from all walks of life, then NBC is the right place for you.

    Favorite verse.

    Joshua 1:9

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not me afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

  • Danielle Kue:

    Worship Team Leader &

    Young Adult Director

Hi! My name is Danielle Kue and I have been apart of New Beginnings Church since they opened their doors in 2006. I started in worship ministry at a young age and through the mentors of previous worship leaders I grew to become one myself. Along with my co worship leader Sarah Kue, we began as an interim praise and worship team for New Beginnings but our love for the church, and it's people grew and we became apart of it. When I think of New Beginnings Church, I think of a fresh start, love and being totally submerged in the truth of the Word of God. That's why I love NBC!! I love that at the end of the day, whether I’ve had disagreements and conflicts with the world I live in, I can submit it all and the final judgement is all in His word and THAT’s what New Beginnings Church has taught me. It's taught me to view the world not through my eyes but through the eyes of the Word of God, which is God Himself.

For those thinking of attending New Beginnings Church, I’d like to say WELCOME!! Here you will grow and be challenged in the Word of God, you will come to know  the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and will learn how to depend on Him daily and you will know His love through His people at New Beginnings Church.

    Favorite Verse:

“Those who were not my people I will call ‘my people,’

and her who was not beloved I will call ‘beloved.’”

“And in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’

there they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’”

    Romans 9:25
